What does Break Check Barragan actually do?
I give independent, written opinions about trading cards (what they are worth, whether they are real and what condition they are in), and I record sealed product being opened so the cards carry proof. I never buy or sell cards.

How do I start working with you?
Send me a message on Instagram or an email saying what you have and what it is for. I reply by email with a written scope and quote, and nothing happens until you sign the engagement letter.
Why is Instagram the main way to reach you?
Because it is where most collectors and shops already talk about cards, and photos travel easily there. It is only the start of the conversation. The scope, quote and engagement letter always come by email.
Can I email you instead of messaging on Instagram?
Yes. Email breakcheckbarragan@gmail.com with what you have and what it is for. It is handled exactly the same way as an Instagram message.
What should I send in my first message?
What the cards are, how many, and what the answer is for, plus clear photos of the front and back if you have them. Shops should add the product, the box count and preferred dates.
Does sending a message mean we have an agreement?
No. A message starts a conversation, not an engagement. Work begins only after I send a written scope and quote by email and you sign the engagement letter.
Will you tell me what my card is worth in a message?
No. I do not give opinions on value, authenticity or grade in messages. Those come only in a written report after an engagement letter, where the purpose, method and limits are stated.
What happens after I message you?
Four steps: your message, my written scope and quote by email, the engagement letter you sign, then the work and the delivered record. Nothing is done or charged before the letter is signed.
What is an engagement letter, and why do I sign one?
It is the written agreement for a single job: what I will do, for what purpose, for what fee, by when, and with which limits and disclosures. Signing it is what turns a conversation into work.
Which service is right for me?
Start from what you need the answer for. Insurance, estates, sales and disputes need an appraisal; "is it real?" needs an authentication opinion; "should I grade it?" needs a pre-grade; shops opening product need a documented break.
