What should I send in my first message?
In short: What the cards are, how many, and what the answer is for, plus clear photos of the front and back if you have them. Shops should add the product, the box count and preferred dates.
A complete first message saves a round of questions. For collectors:
- Photographs of the front and back, flat on a matte surface, straight on
- The four corners close up, and the edges in raking light
- A ten-second video tilting the card under a light
- The total count, and which cards are already graded
- The purpose: insurance, an estate, a sale decision, a donation or a dispute
