Pre-grade assessment and reseal verification

Grading fees are sunk once a card ships. A pre-grade assessment measures centering, examines the surface under raking light and the corners and edges under magnification, and gives you an opinion of the likely range before you decide. Reseal verification does the same for sealed product before you buy it.

Flat fee per item, quoted in advance

Who it is for

Built for the people who need the answer in writing

  • Collectors deciding what to submit and to which company
  • Sellers who want to know what a card is likely to come back as
  • Buyers of sealed product who want a box checked before the money changes hands

How we stay calibrated

Every pre-grade opinion that goes through the hub is logged against the grade that comes back. We publish our own calibration once the record is large enough, rather than claiming an accuracy we cannot show.

How it works

From first message to signed report

  1. Step 1: Message or email

Tell us what you have and what it is for. Photographs help; a count and the intended use are enough to start.

  2. Step 2: Written scope and quote

We reply by email with what the engagement covers, the fee basis and the timeline. Fees are flat or hourly, never a percentage of value.

  3. Step 3: Inspection

In person across the Yuma area, or from your photographs and video with that limitation stated in the report.

  4. Step 4: Report

A signed written report with the method, the photographs and the certification with disclosures.

  5. Step 5: Delivery

By email as a PDF. We keep a copy under the retention policy.

Questions

Will it grade a 10?

We give a range and our reasoning, never a promise. The grading company decides; our record shows what we saw and when.

Which grading company should I use?

It depends on the card and what you want from the slab. The assessment names the company whose standard fits, and why.

Can you check a box before I buy it?

Yes, in person or from the seller’s photographs with the limitation stated. Reseal checks are the most valuable before money changes hands.
