Claims, donation and litigation valuation

When a value has to stand up to an adjuster, the IRS or a court, the report matters more than the number. We prepare damage and loss-claim valuations, donation appraisals for IRS Form 8283, and, on request, litigation support.

Hourly, quoted in advance

Who it is for

Built for the people who need the answer in writing

  • Adjusters and policyholders after damage, theft or loss
  • Donors and tax preparers who need a qualified appraisal for a non-cash charitable contribution
  • Attorneys who need a written opinion or testimony about trading-card value

Damage and loss claims

We document condition before and after where records exist, state replacement value under the policy’s definition, and write for the adjuster who has to read it.

Donation appraisals (IRS Form 8283)

Non-cash charitable contributions above the IRS thresholds require a qualified appraisal. The report includes the appraiser declarations the form calls for; confirm the current thresholds with your tax preparer.

Expert witness and litigation support

Available on request. Hourly, quoted in advance, with the independence and disclosure statements every engagement carries.

How it works

From first message to signed report

  1. Step 1: Message or email

Tell us what you have and what it is for. Photographs help; a count and the intended use are enough to start.

  2. Step 2: Written scope and quote

We reply by email with what the engagement covers, the fee basis and the timeline. Fees are flat or hourly, never a percentage of value.

  3. Step 3: Inspection

In person across the Yuma area, or from your photographs and video with that limitation stated in the report.

  4. Step 4: Report

A signed written report with the method, the photographs and the certification with disclosures.

  5. Step 5: Delivery

By email as a PDF. We keep a copy under the retention policy.

Questions

What does an adjuster need from you?

An identification of each item, its pre-loss condition if it can be established, its post-loss condition, and a value under the policy’s definition, with the method stated.

Can you work from the insurer’s photographs?

Yes, with the limitation stated in the report. A physical inspection is better when the cards still exist.

Do you testify?

On request, quoted in advance. Written reports are prepared so that they can stand on their own.
