Documentation under pressure is the habit this practice runs on
I served as a 68W Airborne Medic in the U.S. Army, a paratrooper and health care specialist with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade, from 2013 to 2017. The job was documentation under pressure: record exactly what you see, when you see it, as it is, and be accountable for every sensitive item that passes through your hands.
That is the core habit of this practice. A card's condition is written down as observed, with the checks named and photographed. A sealed box is opened on continuous video and every card is sleeved and recorded as it is pulled. Custody is logged from intake to return. Nothing is described from memory.
I established BREAKCHECKBARRAGAN LLC in Yuma in 2024, grading, authenticating and pricing cards and, for a time, selling them. In 2026 the business stopped selling and kept the part that was always the point: an independent opinion, on paper, with the method and the photographs to back it.

No inventory. No stake in your cards.
The practice holds nothing for sale and has no interest in any card it evaluates. Every opinion is about the card, not about a sale.
We never buy, sell, broker or consign cards.
Not yours, not anyone’s. If you want to sell, the report goes with the card to whoever you choose; we are not part of that transaction.
Flat or hourly fees, quoted in advance.
Every fee is stated in writing before work begins and is never a percentage of value. The fee does not change with the answer, so the answer cannot be shaped by the fee.
Army Veteran-owned; SDVOSB certification pending.
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) certification is pending for BREAKCHECKBARRAGAN LLC. It has not been granted yet. The owner is a U.S. Army veteran (68W Airborne Medic with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade, 2013–2017) and the sole member and manager of the LLC.

USPAP is the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice: how an appraisal is scoped, researched, reported and kept on file, so that insurers, attorneys and courts can rely on it. The ISA designation path is reported as progress, never as a designation held.

- Locally operated in Yuma, AZ 85364. There is no storefront and no walk-in counter. Cards are never held on display; anything in custody is logged and stored until it is returned or shipped.
- In person, by appointment. Your home, your shop or an agreed venue across the Yuma area, including appraisal days hosted by local card shops.
