Which service is right for me?
In short: Start from what you need the answer for. Insurance, estates, sales and disputes need an appraisal; "is it real?" needs an authentication opinion; "should I grade it?" needs a pre-grade; shops opening product need a documented break.
You do not need to know the name of the service before you message me. Tell me the purpose and I will tell you which one fits. But if you like to read first, here is how the purposes map.
"What is it worth?"
- For insurance: insurance documentation: a photo inventory and valuation schedule for the whole collection.
- For an estate, a sale decision or a dispute: a written appraisal.
- After a loss, for a donation or for litigation: claims and donation valuation.
- You are not near Yuma: the remote appraisal clinic.
"Is it real?"
An authentication opinion, including a pre-purchase second opinion from a listing before you pay.
"Should I grade it?" or "Has this box been resealed?"
A pre-grade assessment or reseal verification. If you then want it submitted without the hassle, the submission hub packs, insures, ships and checks the return.
"I run a shop"
Documented breaks give your singles a record buyers can watch, and staff certification teaches your team a written condition standard. What I offer card shops has the full picture.
