What happens to the cards after the break?
In short: Documented cards go into new sleeves and holders, then locked storage under the custody log until they are returned to you, shipped, or sent on through the submission hub.
The cards are always yours. After the opening, each documented card is protected and logged, and the custody log records every hand-off until it is back with you.
If you want hits graded, they can go through the submission hub with a pre-grade first and the grading fee prepaid by you. The record continues all the way to the slab, and the return is checked against the condition sheet made at the pull.
Here is the order. Every hit is sleeved the moment it is pulled and its condition recorded as observed at that time: centering, surface, corners and edges, with photographs. Documented cards then go into new sleeves and holders and into locked storage under the custody log, never mixed with anything the practice or I own.
At delivery you receive the video link, the hit log, the condition sheets and the pack-fresh certificates. The records are kept under the retention and consent policy, so you can come back to them if a buyer or a grading company ever questions a card. I never buy the cards, sell them for you or take a share of what they fetch.
