Why "Break Check Barragan"?
In short: I wanted a business where you take a break from life and check on yourself. My legal name is Barragon; "Barragan" is the name my best friend Reyes gave me, and it stuck.
The name started as an idea: take a break from life and check on yourself. For me, checking in happened through trading card games. They were a place to relax and renew.
I needed that. As a U.S. Army veteran, I lived a very stressful life as an airborne medic paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade. Cards gave me somewhere quiet to land. You can read more about who I am and the veteran side of the business.
And "Barragan"? That one is on my best friend Reyes. My legal name is Barragon, but Reyes has always called me Barragan, and it became the name I go by.
