How do I pay?
In short: By invoice. Once the engagement letter is signed, I send an invoice for the fee stated in it, on the basis stated in it.
Payment follows the same order as everything else: conversation first, then a written scope and quote, then the engagement letter, then an invoice. Nothing is billed before the letter is signed.
The invoice matches the fee in the letter: flat per unit, or hourly with its stated minimum. It is never a percentage of what your cards are worth. If the scope calls for a deposit, it says so and states the amount; most work does not need one. The pricing page shows the basis for every service.
